Corona has led to a change or intensification in the use of digital offerings, exemplified by home office and the communication applications used in this regard, such as MS Teams, Zoom, or the possibility of caling acquaintances and relatives via messengers such as WhatsApp. The smartphone is strengthening its function as a central communication and organization tool and is even becoming an indispensable part of daily life for the older generations. Applications of AI are beginning to establish themselves in the private area as well.

INTEGRAL has been researching developments in Internet use for 25 years. Launched in 1997, the AIM "Austrian Internet Monitor" has since been the currency in the market when it comes to the use of digital offerings in the population and the underlying dynamics.
