Sustainability measures

As an institute for market and social research, we are aware that people's attitudes are not always reflected in their everyday behaviour. This is particularly true when it comes to sustainability. At INTEGRAL, we endeavour to better meet our socio-ecological requirements through regular evaluation and concrete steps.

In spring 2024, together with our partner ECOFIDES, we carried out a multi-stage process for sustainability consulting, in which the current status was initially recorded and measures already implemented in various areas were documented. The year 2023 served as the basis for this. In the second phase of the project, a roadmap was developed that records the measures already implemented and defines medium and long-term goals.

Our set and planned activities include the following areas:

  • Procurement
    • e.g. reusable containers, ecological procurement criteria for food/catering
  • Guideline in connection with business trips
    • Train over plane
    • Public transport over car
  • Waste avoidance and management
    • e.g. waste separation & recycling
  • Energy
    • e.g. sustainable electricity provider (green electricity), measures in line with monument protection such as insulation measures on historic windows
  • Social responsibility
    • Raising awareness in society through publications and provision of results from our own research projects
    • Discounts for NGOs on products and studies
  • Support for educational institutions
    • Provision of information for students
    • Cooperation with educational institutions - most recently FH Wiener Neustadt
  • Donations
    • Direct donations in 2024: 12. 935 euros
