ABOUT INTEGRAL

HISTORY

INTEGRAL was established by Manfred Tautscher in 1987. The reason was a product for the electronic recording of answers, developed by the software specialists Ashton & Aschenfeld. At a time when market research was done almost completely by paper questionnaires, INTEGRAL was the first Austrian institute using electronic data collection. This innovation enabled a quick delivery of results and a high cost-efficiency as the capture of manually written questionnaires was no longer necessary.

The system was called BLIP (Barcoded Lightweight Interview Package) and the installation on hand-held computers enabled a flexible usage for telephone- and face-to-face surveys.

Today electronic data collection is a matter of course. For a considerable time INTEGRAL has been working with a capable data collection software.

In 1991 the market research expert Bertram Barth joined the management. At that time INTEGRAL occupied seven employees.

In 2002 INTEGRAL became licensee of Millward Brown, the seventh largest market research company worldwide, and thus widened the international competence.

In 2003 Manfred Tautscher became CEO of Millward Brown Germany.

In 2009 Integral took over the majority share of the market research company SINUS in Heidelberg. Manfred Tautscher became managing director of SINUS.

Currently INTEGRAL consists of a motivated team of more than 20 persons, many of these long-term members whose contribution is fundamental to INTEGRAL’s appearance.

Furthermore INTEGRAL has a powerful field department occupying approximately 600 interviewers from all Austrian regions.

As a full service institute we offer competence for your requested scope of services, from the provision of our field capacities up to a profound consulting level.
